Hogan Development Survey (The 'Dark Side')
Most of us have times when we let our guard down and take our eye off the self-management ball. It may be when we're tired and under pressure, or simply when we're feeling self-indulgent. At these times, our 'Dark Side' behaviours may appear. When they do, it is likely that they will be memorable for those around us, and unhelpful for our performance, our reputation with others, and our careers.
The higher a Leader rises, the more likely s/he is to encounter triggers for such 'derailing' behaviours. And those around them are far less likely to call them out on these. Most of us know leaders who have gained success through self belief, drive, and charisma. Yet they may become railroading, demanding and unwilling to listen to others' opinions as they rise higher and encounter more of their 'Dark Side' triggers.
The Hogan 'Dark Side' is invaluable for high potential leaders wanting to harness their strengths and manage potential interpersonal blocks to their career progression, as well as for companies looking for important leadership performance information that they are unlikely to gain from an interview process alone. This assessment produces a profile that is unique to each individual.
