Hogan Motives, Values and Preferences ('Inside')
Just as the Hogan 'Bright Side' is about reputation, or the 'you that others know', the Hogan 'Inside' measures what an individual prefers and values - the 'you that you know'.
What we value and find important we tend to feel energised by, comfortable with and be drawn to. This includes the culture and values of the organisation or team we're working in. What leaders value and find important helps determines the tone and culture they set for those they lead; at the very top, this means the organisation as a whole.

Benefits of using the Hogan 'Inside'
|
|
The 'Inside' can be used as a standalone assessment for individuals and groups, or as part of the trio of 'Bright Side', 'Dark Side' and 'Inside' to give a full, three dimensional view of a person's reputation, potential career de-railers and internal motives and preferences, for selection or for professional development.
What does it measure?
The 'Inside' measures our Motives, Values and Preferences within the workplace, for example our need for 'Security' or 'Recognition'. We are more likely to do well in environments and cultures where these values and preferences are met and to be drawn to people who share them.
The Hogan 'Inside' measures occupational values and needs on 10 distinct scales. High and low scores on each scale have important implications for careers and for the kinds of culture and environment that an individual is likely to thrive in and foster as a Leader. How do I take the 'Inside' assessment?
As for all the Hogan assessments, this can be completed online from any web-connected device. The results are sent automatically to the commissioning Consultant/Coach on submission of the completed questionnaire in the online system.
